1. Deal or no deal

 [Related Image]
Deal or no deal has appeared in many countries around the world and is a simple, yet effective game, that causes lots of tension and drama.

The UK version of Deal or no deal was released on 31st October 2005 and just a week or so later, Darren thought it would be a good addition to the many other #knightmare games already going on in Knightmare Chat.

The game is very simple, there are 22 boxes numbered between 1 and 22 and in each box is a value ranging from 1p upto £250,000! The contestant which is chosen chooses one of the 22 boxes (or numbers as we use) and has no idea of the value on that box. He/she also has no idea what is in the other 21 boxes. He/she must try and keep away from the lower ammounts, in hope that a high ammount in his/her box, however along the way another person will try and stop them walking away with a possible high ammount, that person is...

The banker, who was originally played by Keith [a.k.a. Brollachan], is now played by Darren, who promices to be an even more meaner and nastier banker than ever! Every 3 boxes that the contestant opens, the banker will make an offer to try and buy the box from the player, for as little as possible, but enough to tempt the contestant into taking it. The contestant has a choice to either accept the bankers offer (By saying DEAL) or by turning it down (By saying NO DEAL) the contestant will then have to choose another 3 boxes before the bankers next offer. If the contestant knocks out high ammounts, the ammount will be low, if they knock out the low, then it will be high. The more high reds left in the game (especially the power 5, which is 35,000 50,000 75,000 100,000 and 250,000 pounds) will ensure a good offer from the banker.

The presenter of Deal or no deal is Noel (originally played by Darren in series 1 and Billy Hicks in series 2 and sometimes LordF [See: Lord Fear])

Noel (Edmonds) is the host of the UK version of Deal or no deal (on channel 4) hence where the name was taken from, and the role of the host is to announce the ammounts that are in each box, and try and offer helpful advice to the contestant.

On Boxing Day 2005, a special version of Deal or no Deal was played, with a top prize of 10 Million pounds!

Chloe played the Deal or no deal special, and went away with £85,000 plus an extra £10,000 because she managed to find the Frightknight! Making her final total to be £95,000!

It was also the first time that new rules came into play. Other players in the chatroom now had a chance to win something also! The rules were slightly altered for series 2, and boxes changed to chests! Unfortunatly everyone kept calling the chests boxes, and it was a bit of a chore for people to keep making guesses on what was in the box. So we went back to the old rules

There was also a new twist in series 2. Before the game began, a 'Frightknight' was placed inside a random box, and if the player was to find this Frightknight in his/her 5 boxes, they would guarentee themselves an extra £10,000 pounds on top of their final prize money!

KM DOND facts:

The 250K has been turned down three times so far, once by Billy Hicks on game 1 series 1, Malefact on game 1 series 2 and by Lord Fear on Series 2 game 7.

Darren is so far the most unluckiest player on Deal or no Deal, by going away with under 750 pounds on each game!

The highest bankers offer appeared in Forester's game (series 2 game 5) with an offer of £187,500 because the banker was so sure that £250,000 was in the box. This was because Forester had said right from the start that it was in the box, and it was left right until the end!

The lowest offer from the banker appeared in Bexmagic's game and was only 75p!

The biggest winner so far is Lord Fear, who went away with 100,000 in series 2 game 7.

The smallest winner was Lewis, who dealt at 22 pounds!

TWO SERIES OF DEAL OR NO DEAL HAVE BEEN PLAYED SO FAR, WITH A THIRD SERIES SET TO RETURN IN JUNE/JULY. A NEW TYPE OF DEAL OR NO DEAL (SUPER DEAL OR NO DEAL) WILL BE APPEARING TWICE IN THE NEXT SERIES, WITH A TOP PRIZE OF ONE MILLION POUNDS!
